The only drawbacks at this place were: 1) The shampoo dispenser in our shower dispensed shampoo that smelled a bit moldy 2) There was no conditioner dispenser in the shower, and I did not realize this until I was actually taking a shower thus, I would recommend asking for conditioner at the front desk upon check-in and 3) the price of these rooms seemed a bit high however, we were able to use our Hilton points to bring the cost down to a more reasonable price.Stay in the welcoming Home2 Suites by Hilton Jackson when travel calls you to south central Michigan. The hot breakfast was in the morning was pretty good, with hot eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. This was very convenient, because I needed to cut up a bunch of fresh fruit for a large extracurricular event that my kids were attending nearby, and I was able to store the cut up fruit overnight in the refrigerator. Our rooms were spacious, and each had a sitting area and a kitchenette area with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. This is the first hotel we have stayed in domestically since the pandemic hit, and we were very pleased by the friendly and helpful hotel staff, as well as the cleanliness of the hotel and our rooms. The staff in the morning, especially Kristen, were much more friendly and helpful than the previous evening. Breakfast was the usual items for Home2 and the breakfast staff was pleasant and friendly. The room itself was clean, spacious and bed was very comfortable. There was a total lack of interest in arriving guests and unusual for what we have experienced at all other Hilton Hotels. I had to ask what our room number was, when I received the key - it was not given to me in the usual paper ‘sleeve’ with the room number on it. At check in the front desk person was cordial at best, informing me that I could get my own ‘complimentary’ water out of the fridge. The hotel itself is hidden behind the Meijer store. We had to get directions from a 7-ELEVEN and search “Hotels” on Google to reach the actual hotel location. On calling the hotel to confirm the address - on the first call the staff member hung up on me the second call was curt, just confirming the address but offering no help whatsoever as to how to find the hotel. Google maps couldn’t locate the address posted for this hotel and directs you to a townhouse complex nearby. ![]()
